It's that time of the year already. I spent christmas eve evening enjoying a very nice seafood dinner at home with the boy. He went to fish market at 4.30am and came home with crabs, prawns, abalone, oysters and salmon sashimi. Let's hope none of us get food poisoning tomorrow. That would suck. This evening was supposed to be a pleasant catch up with some old friends. We arrived at the spot they picked but rung them and was told that they'd be there soon. Arrive they did (in this case only one of them got out of the car) to tell us to enjoy dinner and they couldn't make it. -_- So there we were dressed up semi nicely in an expensive restaurant to dine with ourselves. We did the only thing we could've done at that point which was to suck it up and dined there although we really didn't want to. I've had so many lunches and dinners the past 3 weeks - I could've done with something much more cheaper. I wasn't angry or anything cos it wasn't intentional and shit happens but you know... On our way back we came across a silver Yaris who came out of no where and over took us. Over taking is not the issue, the issue is when and how you do it. The guy didn't even indicate and was like uhmmm I dunno 20cms ahead of us? We had to stop because of the red lights and the boy and I were bitching about the ass hole who was in front of us now. Then suddenly he gets out of the car and tapped on our side window so we wound it down. He came in a gung-ho 'don't you dare mess with me' fashion. Too long to narrate but there was an exchange of words and he sped off. Another one of those things that just baffles me. Most of us are just despicable humans.

Everytime i feel an urge to buy something I log onto netbank and also look at how much i've spent on my credit card. That automatically kills the urge by at least 50%. I guess that's the price to pay when you choose traveling over material things. Couples massage with the boy tomorrow - can't wait!

I should've been paid today and I have been paid or so I think. It's got some weird ass description and i'm worried maybe someone out there in australia just accidentally transferred it wrongly to my account. That plus i should only be getting half my pay seeing how this christmas we all have to take 8 days of compulsory pay. Hmmm...what to do.

In my attempt to use my damn gift card before in expires in a day, I've spent the past 2 hours using various credit cards but still can't get my order processed. LET ME BUY MY STUFFFFFFFFFF! Highly nervous about work tomorrow and I don't even know why.

I think I need to 'up' my game. I usually book 4 weeks in advance but for the date I now want in January, the only available appointment is at 8am. What are the chances I'd be able to wake up seeing how I can't even wake up at 830 for work. I'm absolutely addicted to super Mario bros. Brings back a lot of memories. We used to have this console back then. The tape is about the size of a casette but thicker. It'd always be a treat when my bro did well in school ( which was often) and my dad would take us to parkson ria to buy a game. Back then it'd probably cost rm30. How cute is this? A summary of my week in pictures: Spent Thursday afternoon at Bronte Beach - had a great BBQ and did pretty much nothing for most of the day. Did try wagamama in the evening as it was a friend's treat. I won't be returning.   Garlic Prawns on Friday with Kerry. Oh Yum. It came sizzling in oil so it wasn't exactly healthy.  Ventured out to Redfern for Brekkie today. They might as well have given us kids stools. It wasn't a pleasant experience having to stoop down to eat. Chutney was great but not enough for me to want to return.  Inspection tomorrow so I had to clean the room. Finally throwing away my Math & Stat notes circa 2003 - 2005. I'm not sure why I kept it for so many years - such a hoarder.  Oh also caught New Moon. I never thought I'd actually be a bit of a Jacob fan. Oh no. Team Edward? Team Jacob? I'm going to google for spoilers for Eclipse now because I'm too lazy to pick the book up and actually read it.

I wish I had a scale that could weigh boots. Would really love to actually wear them YSL boots that have been in the closet since July and won't see the light of the day till July 2010 when the weather starts turning cold which is a huge waste. I lie to myself way too often. I always say when I buy something exorbitant that it's worth it and I'll wear it 365 days 24/7. I never ever do. The cheaper shoes on the other hand do get worn every single day. I need those scales they use at airports. At least I'd know if I had too much shit in my luggage. Take it out when you need it and then fold it back to the size of a credit card. Now that's called innovation.

I've said this all too many times this year. I NEED to learn how to pack early. Surprising my job involves being well prepared for anything and everything but when it comes to my own life? *Pfffft* FURH-GET ABOUT IT. I am so tired.  Wish me luck!

I've still yet to replace my Reminds me of when I was a kid and would tear everything and they'd just be mended. It does feel kinda of weird. Instead I bought myself a pair of Jeans legging. They actually look like jeans in the pictures and since they cost as much as a pair of jeans I thought - why not? Now I know why not. Don't get me wrong - nothing wrong with thicker leggings - it's just the price.

I would never have guessed I'd be able to last this long in my j brands. It started with a tear and now they are 2 holes and everytime I walk up the stairs I wonder if the person right behind me sees it. They're probably too polite to point it out.

If only waking up in the morning is as easy as falling asleep. I experienced first hand today Aussies and their love for the barbie - it's pretty fun but I'm knackered and I don't want to go near one for at least a whole month. Now if only charity work did not involve waking up early in the morning, that'd be perfect. Since it's pouring I'll just have to spend my sunday shopping for groceries and catching up on TVB.

I came up with the idea of wearing 4 things today for my lunch date with Kerry.
 So i thought...this isn't working out  Then i thought, wait maybe a belt. I give up on the plimsolls.  Screw it. Too late to change. Better wear more appropriate shoes. It wasn't such a bad idea until I walked out. The flat mate thought I was celebrating some special occassion. Kerry said she didn't know we had to dress up for lunch. The concierge laughed at my corsage "WHOA what's up with the big flower!" so much for making an effort.

this morning, I dreamt that i was preggers. In my dream i wasn't too happy about that. I looked at my stomach and went 'OMG I'm going to have stretch marks!' and then when i remembered my age 'OMG I haven't enjoyed enough of my life yet!!!' Good to know how I feel about having babies at the moment. So happy I finally found something similar to Chipotle today so decided to try it out with some friends. Affordable and awesome, that's how I like it.

I'm slowly getting into the groove of things and that's what my mind seems to be occupied with. I finally went for that well deserved massage. Only because my neck has been giving me migraines.There is nothing soothing nor comforting about remedial massage. It is mind blowing and painful. I now know what it feels like to walk under the hot sun then have a massage while all sweaty, then out in the hot sun again with massage oil on my skin. GROSS. Thank god for the Spinach Ricotta from David Jones that made it all better. I'm worried about my future. |

After a week of contemplation and a week of waiting, the new washing machine is almost here. I'll probably have at least 4 loads waiting right here. -_- I am loving leggings lately. How gorgeous are these?  Source: Asos

The traffic at Darlinghurst is NASTY. *beep* *beep* *beep* The ass hole texted me today. People who I actually want to apologize to me don't. People who I want nothing more to do with keep coming back to annoy the shits out of me. WTF. Lunch with my the busy bunch tmrw. Actually very happy to see my old production team, after 2 years i've become so accustomed to them. When I think about it, I see them more than my own family and friends so I can say one thing positive about the past 2 years. I was lucky to have had such a great and supportive team who stuck by me :)

The only thing i'm looking forward to in the next 24 hrs would be the weekend. The past 2 days haven't been what I've expected it to be. It wasn't tragic but I really wanted a stellar beginning. I could be being prematurely pessimistic and all I have is hope.

They don't add the word 'stress' in front of test if it weren't stressful. I had no idea and I never want to do it again. I am unfit and I know that but the last 5 minutes of it was hell. I almost fell off the machine and it took me an hour and a half to recover. I was walking down oxford st from Darlinghurst like some drunkard because my head was still spinning. A smelly as hell idiot took advantage of that and gave me a fright by suddenly whispering profanity to my ears while I was walking pass him. I'm not sure if i was stunned by the situation or it was his scent that hit me in my face. I had an extra day off and it was wonderful. I should do this more often. It's good for my soul. I told the boy that if he were filthy rich I'd be happy to play the housewive. Cook, household chores, massage, window shopping, errands, TV, hanging out with booffy and having lunches with friends. *BLISS* Right now I need to have a chat with my washing machine. It decided to stop spinning so I need to ask it for compassion. I don't want to buy another washing machine and at this moment another front loader is not something I budgeted for.
