i really did piss away my xmas holidays. the next time i'll ever get a chance to sit at home and do nothing will be in another 12 months time.


i manged to clean up a quarter of the mess my apartment's in and i think i only just remembered that i still have more cleaning to do.


the housemate will be back from vegas tomorrow, i've been so used to having 1 person less in the house. if i could afford it i'd rent the 2 BR apartment all for myself. speaking of 2 BR apartments, did i mention a while ago i was checking out the latest apartment block in the city called lumiere. their 2BR start from 1 million and above. f*ck. this is sydney for you - not so great yet sky rocket prices.


reading my horoscope yesterday left me feeling like i will soon be on the top of the world. I'm taking it with a pinch of salt, i pretty much hope that in 2009 i will not be fired and get another pay rise. full stop. i was discussing this with the boy yesterday and we both agree that at this point in life a promotion is not what we're after. i would've thought i'd be the type who would want to keep climbing up the ladder but at this point in life it's NO! i need peace in my life.


i've been playing with the camera a lot and took some vacation pictures of flowers, gardens and booffy. what else is there to photograph?


We're both in the agreement that this place cost a bit too much, could've gotten myself a new set of lenses.


We rented a cottage over xmas for 2 nights. it's called Rydal and it's around lithgow further away from the blue mountains. i didn't do my research properly and actually thought this was before the blue mountains.

so this place called RYDAL is about half an hour drive from the next small town. you need to drive down a picturesque road with beautiful aussie hills with cows and horses grazing everywhere. The cottage we rented had everything and we prepared heaps of stuff to BBQ. i need to get myself on of those gas BBQs next time. using that sure beats the malaysian style of squatting then pouring charcoal into it and waiting for yonks for anything to get cooked.

The cottage itself is very cute but i didn't take any pictures. Here's the bath tub though. it's so awesomely HUGE - i would love to have this at home.

Did mention one of the reasons why we picked this cottage was because it was pet friendly. since booffy LOVED the park we thought she'd love this. I think she was as eager as we were to get home. Everytime she hears something she jumps of the bed and starts growling. that's pretty much how we spent our first night - listening to her growl and walking around the cottage while making the floor boards squeak.

I almost forgot that we went to the blue mountains. the 3rd time and PLEASE LET THIS BE THE LAST TIME for me. i went cos the boy had never been to it before. it was so crowded with tourists.
